• Lettuce Vegetable Seeds: Mr Fothergill’s Lettuce Salad Bowl Red & Green Mixed is an easy-to-grow salad leaf variety producing colourful red and green leaves with crisp texture and fresh flavour.
• When and How to Sow: Sow outdoors from March to August where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep directly into finely prepared, fertile, moisture-retentive soil that has already been watered.
• Spacing and Germination Guide: Allow 25cm between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 7 to 14 days. Thin plants to 20cm apart for mature leaves, or leave unthinned for baby leaf harvesting.
• Growing and Cropping Tips: Water well until plants are established and keep soil moist for the best leaf quality. Make regular sowings every 2 to 3 weeks for a continuous supply.
