Laresar L6 Pro: A Mid‑Range Robot That Surprises
The If you’re still hauling around a vacuum and mop to keep your floors clean, it might be time for an upgrade. Enter the Laresar L6 Pro — a smart robotic vacuum that’s not going after the big names like Roborock or Ecovacs. Instead, it positions itself as an affordable, stylish helper for the home.
First Impressions
Before it arrived, I wasn’t familiar with the Laresar brand. But a glance at the specs raised my expectations. The L6 Pro promises strong suction and mopping functionality — though the latter left me a little hesitant at first. What really stands out is the inclusion of LiDAR navigation and a self‑emptying station — often features in higher‑end models. This gives the impression of premium features branching into the more accessible price‑segment.
Design & Build
Finished in matte black with subtle blue accents, the L6 Pro looks modern and premium — it doesn’t feel like something you’d want to hide.
On the top you’ll find the LiDAR module and two simple buttons: one for “go home”, one for “start cleaning”. The rear houses the combined dust & water bin, while beneath there’s a main brush (not fully rubberised) and sensors for drop detection and carpet sensing.
Overall, the build quality is solid. If there’s a tiny complaint, it’s the main brush material — in a household with pets, a fully rubberised brush might have been preferable.
Suction & Station
The docking station doubles as a self‑emptying hub. After cleaning, the robot returns and the station sucks the debris into a 3 L dust bag. There’s also a front display showing status info. It’s all well built and visually fits into a living room rather than being hidden away.
One caveat: the self‑emptying process is loud (as is typical) but only lasts a few seconds. For what you get at this price point, it’s understandable.
Navigation
Thanks to the LiDAR and a bunch of sensors, the L6 Pro maps your space quickly and navigates with confidence. It avoids most furniture, legs of chairs and so on — though smaller, finer items like cables or tiny toys can still trip it up.
Battery life is decent. While the manufacturer quotes up to around 200 minutes (on low‑power mode), in real‑world use I got around 75 minutes in a typical apartment before needing to go home.
Cleaning Performance
On hard floors, the suction performance is very good. With up to 3,000 Pa suction power and four selectable levels, the L6 Pro handles coarse dirt and fine dust impressively.
Carpeted areas (especially long‑pile or heavy rugs) are where it shows some weakness — the suction isn’t quite at the top tier.
When it comes to mopping: that’s where things drop off a bit. The wiping plate is fixed (no vibration or strong down‑force), so for stubborn grime, results were only “okay”. If mopping performance is a high priority, you might want to look at models with dual spinning mops.
Setup & App Experience
Getting started was straightforward. The vacuum arrived mostly assembled; just plug in the station and follow the app’s onboarding. The companion app is user‑friendly, offers multiple map saves (great for multi‑storey homes) and allows you to schedule runs, define no‑go zones, and tweak settings.
If you enjoy automation and having your cleaning happen while you’re out, this device delivers.
Maintenance
Thanks to the self‑emptying station, weekly maintenance is reduced — but you still need to check the mop plate, empty/resupply the water tank, and clean the main brush (especially in pet households, as hair may tangle on the non‑rubber brush).
Because the dust bag is large (3.5 L), you’ll change it less frequently than typical robot vacuums. Good for convenience.
Final Thoughts
The Laresar L6 Pro isn’t redefining the category, but that’s fine — it doesn’t try to. What it does offer is a strong mid‑range option that hits most of the marks: great design, good suction, user‑friendly app and self‑emptying convenience. The main compromise? Mopping performance is average at best. If you’re primarily after excellent suction and a smart cleaning routine, this could be a very clever choice. On the other hand, if wiping stubborn messes is part of your cleaning game, you may want to step up or look around.
If I were to sum it up: great value, very good all‑round vacuuming, solid build — just moderate when it comes to the mop.
If your budget is less than the £/€500 mark and you don’t demand best in class mopping, you’ll likely be pleased.
