Product Highlights:

• Thai Basil Vegetable Seeds: Mr Fothergill’s Thai Basil is an easy-to-grow herb seed variety with aromatic green and purple leaves, known for its distinctive liquorice flavour used in Thai and oriental dishes.
• When and How to Sow: Sow indoors from January to December for year-round crops, 0.5cm deep in small pots of compost. For outdoor crops, sow indoors or outdoors from March to May.
• Germination and Plant Care: Keep sowings moist in a warm position at 15-20°C. Seedlings usually appear in 7 to 14 days, then grow on in cooler but not cold conditions.
• Planting and Spacing Guide: Gradually acclimatise indoor plants before planting outdoors from May to July in warm, well-drained soil. Space plants 20cm apart, or thin outdoor seedlings to 20cm.
• Harvest, Uses and Benefits: Grows up to 60cm and is suitable for containers, indoor growing and light windowsills. Pick leaves just before use, with repeat sowings every 2 to 3 weeks for continuous harvests.
