Product Highlights:

• Basil Vegetable Seeds: Mr Fothergill’s Oh Sow Simple Basil is a half-hardy annual herb seed variety that produces large, flavourful green leaves, ideal for pesto, salads, pasta dishes and fresh home cooking.
• When and How to Sow: Sow indoors from January to December for year-round crops, 0.5cm deep in small pots or trays of compost. For outdoor crops, sow from March to May.
• Germination and Plant Care: Water well and place in a warm position at 15-20°C. Seedlings usually appear in 7 to 14 days, then grow on in cooler but not cold conditions.
• Planting and Spacing Guide: Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions, avoiding frosts, before planting outside in warm, well-drained soil. Space plants around 20cm apart for healthy growth.
